Rike Sandlin is CEO of Rivervista Partners where he consults with organizations across the ITAD and Recycling industry on business strategies, go-to-market plans, operational processes, ESG & sustainability initiatives. Previously he was COO of HiTech Assets, led environmental affairs and marketing for Arrow, led product development and marketing for Verizon, and has supported several M/A transactions. Rike has served the industry as the R2 TAC Co-Chair, RIOS Board Chairman, and ISRI’s Certification & Standards and Education Chairs.He holds an engineering degree from Georgia Tech and MBA from Millsaps College, and has over 30 years’ experience in operations, marketing, and management.

During the last meeting of the Basel Convention, two new proposals were adopted that may have profound impacts on the recycling of used electronic devices and other recycled materials. While these new proposals will not go into effect right away, it is imperative that you understand the implications and prepare in advance to meet these new compliance objectives.
