Lindsay Maine is the Environmental Director for SA Recycling based in Orange, Calif., a full-service metals recycler with over 125 facilities in 15 states, including 25 mega-shredders. She has worked in the industry for 15 years and is responsible for program development, training, implementation, and auditing environmental compliance. She has presented on various topics including engineered systems, hazardous waste, appliance recycling, and stormwater at local and national conferences, and has authored articles in Scrap Magazine on waste and water management. She has a bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of San Diego and a master’s degree in Environmental Studies from California State University - Fullerton. Her love of science, in addition to being a native Oregonian, set the stage for her passion for the environment and recycling.
