Vice President & General Manager, Metalico Rochester, Metalico

Kate Ilecki launched her career in the recycled materials industry in 2010 at Metalico as an outside sales metal buyer for the industrial and manufacturing industries. New to the industry and committed to succeeding, Ilecki used her degree in education to design versatile learning tools and developed Metalico Rochester's "Scrap Management Program." This innovative sales approach grew market share through information and transparency, and quickly earned Ilecki a respected reputation as being fair, dedicated, and driven. In 2019, Ilecki was promoted to Assistant General Manager, where her focus and passion was redirected to operations management. Within three years as AGM, Ilecki was elevated to Vice President and General Manager of Metalico Rochester's multi-facility division. In this role, Ilecki has succeeded in maintaining a safe and positive work culture, while increasing efficiencies and sustaining profitability in today's challenging conditions.
