Brian Henesey currently serves as national Chair for ISRI. He grew up in Duquesne, outside of Pittsburgh. At the early age of 16, he worked as a summer employee at a local scrap company called Vac-Air Alloys, which eventually became part of Keywell, LLC. Throughout high school and college, Henesey continued to work there as a summer employee. After graduation from Edinboro University (PA), he was hired to a full-time position as a management trainee. In 1995, he was assigned the role of plant operations manager of a facility in Houston.

In 1998, he accepted a position as a commercial buyer with Rocky Mountain Recycling, Inc. (RMR), a full-service scrap metal recycling company specializing in ferrous, nonferrous, and other various types of metals. He currently serves as RMR’s vice president and general manager.
