Barry Hunter

Principal Hunter Alloys LLC (retired).

Barry Hunter joined his family's Passaic, N.J., recycling business in 1960, after he graduated from college. In 1972 he joined the Schiavone-Bonomo Corporation with a focus on stainless steel recycling and international development. Over the years Hunter has been active within ISRI and the BIR, and he has received many industry awards and recognitions, including the Afram Award, The Pheonix Award, and Life-Time Achievement Award. He was BIR President for two terms from 1999 to 2003. Barry retired from Hunter Alloys LLC in 2020.
