Adam Shine

President, Sunnking, Inc.

Adam Shine has worked in the recyled materials industry for over 15 years and grew up around it as he represents the fourth generation at Manitoba Corporation. One of his main responsibilities is President of Sunnking Inc., which focuses on ITAD and electronics recycling. Over the past several years, Shine has helped Sunnking expand from processing 12 million lbs. annually to over 25 million lbs., which required Sunnking to expand from a 140,000-square-foot facility to a new state-of-the-art 204,000-square-foot facility with automated processing capabilities. Prior to entering the recycled materials industry Shine traveled globally selling and implementing software systems to hotels and resorts. He is the current chair of the ISRI Electronics Division and Co-Chair of the ISRI Membership Committee. Shine also serves on the Governance Board and Strategic Advisory Committee for REMADE. In his spare time he coaches his son's ice hockey team and enjoys family time. Shine also serves on the advisory board for Camp Good Days and Special times, an organization that provides year-round activities and programming for children with cancer.

Electronics Reuse and Recycling is one of the most dynamic industries in the world. Constantly changing equipment streams, data security methods, customer requirements, regulations, market conditions, trade restrictions, and certification standards are a challenges for every recycler. This session will discuss the key changes in the industry, and how to stay on top of them.
